TOUCHDOWNS ALL DAY
E025 - Jonathan Schwartz "The General of Jam"
The podcast that is a podcast and will continue to be a podcast.
Ladies & Gentlemen, we have a special episode for you this week:
Here we are in the 25th year of this great band, we're going back to the roots with a very special interview with an old friend, Jonathan Schwartz aka “The General of Jam" from Sirius XM radio. Jon was an integral part of The Disco Biscuits early success as a band and this conversation is not to be missed. A true legend of the scene is in town for The Grammys and stops by the studio for a 1 vs. 1 with @Barbershreds.
The two discuss their past relationship promoting the Biscuits' Wetlands shows, Andy Bernstein, The Jammies and much more. Going deep into details and the process behind the invention & eventual founding of the Jam On Channel on Sirius XM.
“This is some gripping Journalism. Very pro broadcasting.”
Our longest offering yet, this episode is almost 2.5 hours and is jam-packed with music, conversation, and commentary on a variety of subjects from COVID19 to transcendental disco rock shows. Featuring music from a Biscuits show back in '97 in College Park, a jam from a Wetlands show in '99, and the title track off the Grammy nominated album "Keep On" by Southern Avenue.
